Sadly, ammo is not just lying around for guns. So unless I can find a good source for that, I'll be forced to take one of the other weapons. The baseball bat won't do much damage, and the chainsaw would be difficult to swing repeatedly. So, I suppose a long Katana sharp enough to slice through flesh and bone would be the best option until I can find some better weapons.

Out of those a katana. Never runs out of gas/ammo and I know how to use it. If a zombie invazion were to actually happen I would have a katana a shot gun and a pistol.

(and even if you broke into a random house there is a good chance that you would find something. (The benefits of living in Louisiana)
Katana has infinite ammo lol.... but im taking the fing chainsaw man. Gas is easy to come by, especially in L4D.

Katana, you could easily slice through the rotting flesh of a zombie and take of limbs so their not a threat.
Since shotgun wasn't listed I chose Katana; I don't have much experience with guns so doubt I could aim a pistol or rifle well enough to make them worth taking. Chainsaw is too heavy and relies on gas, so isn't reliable or economical and a baseball bat is gonna break quickly. Katana will dull, but a dull blade is still a working weapon against the weakened decayed flesh, imo. I'd prefer a double-edged sword, though.
