Cross Country vs. Football vs. Soccer

So as of lately, I've been getting in heated debates with my friends, over which sport is harder. The soccer kids have been getting in on it too, so feel free to add in your opinion if you play soccer or any other sport. The football side of the story goes something like this. They think that since they hit each other, lift insane amounts of weight, and play a sport with a ball, they have a physically harder sport. They also say its harder mentally because you have to hit people that are bigger than them, thats all they really got going on their side.THe XC runners have been saying that their sport is harder because they run an insane distance at a fast pace. an 18 minute 3 mile is really good. They also lift weights, just not like a bunch of cavemen. They also say its mentally harder because they have to run so far. Also, physically harder because It takes weeks to get in shape for XC. Finally the soccer kids have been attacking XC and football saying they run a lot (only like 2 miles is a lot to them) and they can end up hitting each other. They say its hard to run back and forth while keeping control of the ball, and run far. What do you guys say, this debate is out of control. I run XC so my opinion is biased. Cross Country vs. Football vs. Soccer
They are difficult in there own ways. I prefer cross country.Cross Country vs. Football vs. Soccer
Soccer.
Soccer FTW
Football is pretty hard. You need to be strong and fast.
soccer
Definitley soccer.
Soccer
Soccer is a tough sport and I'll leave it at that.
I'd say it's cross country, then soccer, then football. Cross country you have to run continously and it's kind of monotonous. I'm not saying it isn't fun there's just not much happening. Soccer you run quite a bit and you have to keep moving contiously with few breaks inbetween when play is stopped. Football is just lame. You spend ten minutes coming up with a play that lasts 10 seconds. Once again I'm not saying it's not fun or hard it's just that there's lots of time when nothing's happening.
id definantly say that cross country is the hardest, with soccer soming in at a close second.
I'm surprised soccer is getting all of these votes. At my school, football season is about a month longer than the soccer and xc seasons,
so it ends up being really physically demanding. And cross country is tough because running sucks in general, so doing it for a very long time, and often in crazy weather, is tough.
id say soccer then XC then football:soccer may have less running, but the running that is required, is incredible change of pace. im saying soccer is first because XC i dont know much about besides you have to run for a long time. and football has problems if they think they are superior than soccer.soccer is about pace and mentality and endurance. i think soccer is like XC but with a ball. im not going to argue XC because i admire any player who can run that long and be consistent.soccer and football are different. football stems from rugby, which is arguably the manliest sport. football added pads and helmets. soccer is more physically demanding because you must run at all sorts of paces consistently, always fight with another person to get a ball and always fight with another to keep the ball. how bloody hard is it to catch a ball? try running with the ball at your feet fighting off two defenders.all im saying is that 99% of ppl who claim football is manlier than soccer, or say that soccer is a wus sport, hold a lack of understanding of the game.but i go for soccer. i dont do XC because i have no motivation to just RUN.plus, with soccer, there is futsal, freestyle, indoor, street. plus. soccer is hard as a sport. because the game requires ''touch'' and technique that many players possess, ONLY after years of practice.football isnt interesting because there are too many breaks and pauses. too many plays, it doesnt flow well. 30 sec is like 10 min. whereas in soccer, a LOT can happen in 5 sec.
What kind of question is this? of course it's football (soccer)...
Soccer players run a lot more than 2 miles. Heck, on average you can run about 4-6 miles every game. Not to mention conditioning flipping sucks for soccer players. I runf or about an hour every day.
Soccer seems much harder. It's like cross country but you have to worry about keeping up with a small ball while doing it.
soccer... so much running
Soccer. You could easily cover 6 miles during a game, coupled with the technical and mental requirements make it an incredibly demanding sport.
Soccer is way harder
I might be a little biased since i play soccer but im pretty sure its the most challenging. I respect XC alot but soccer is pretty much XC with a ball. Also I think basketball comes before football. Speed and toughness both go into basketball and theres much less breaks than in football. Football would come in 4th for me.
