so i have like 20 bucks how i show a girl a nice time while spending less or nothing at all and seeming romantic at the same time

If this is a first date, you should be doing little more than just grabbing some drinks or coffee or whatever. You are putting too much thought into it. ;)

Fairly cheap (I imagine) and it forces you both to be social.

Depends on the girl, what can you tell us about her? Is she sporty, classy, lazy, crazy...? She doesn't have hay fever, does she? Does she like spicy food? What kind of movies does she like? ...small-town girl, big-town girl, beach-girl, forest/mountain-girl..?....what I'm trying to say here is, there probably is no perfect first date for all women :P you will have to adapt. The point of having a simple dinner and a walk on the first date is so that you can get to know her, the second and third date is usually when you put that knowledge to use.
What's with all the girl threads lately:? I suggest you take her on a picnic.
Go for a walk, get some food, and sit down at a park or something and talk. The point of dating isnt eating or watching a movie, or what not. The point of a date is to be with the other person. Now some people need distractions like food or a movie so the conversations dont become stale and the date doesnt become boring, but if you are a good conversationalist you should be fine. On one of my first dates we went out bought some of those fruit smoothy things and just sat at the beach and talked. Great time we had. Also, remember one thing, dont be cheap. Women know when you are being a cheap bastard, but on the same note, women know when you aren't rolling in dough. Gold diggers will leave you after the first date, but if the girl really likes you she'll stay. You don't have to be rich to take a girl on a date, just make sure that you aren't being cheap relative to your income. No decent girl would expect a 5-star restaurant when u can't afford it.
