ninja wins because they will use stealth
But they didn't win.. :
|It's about time one of the manly warriors won instead of the panzy tricksy guys. :D
lol the green beret guy that liked the spartan was gay though lol
It's about time one of the manly warriors won instead of the panzy tricksy guys. :D
Damn right. It seemed like they finally put some emphasis on defense in this episode. In the last one, they programed the simulation to utilize the Viking shield as a weapon, and disregarded it completely when the viking had any other weapon out. In reality it would have been viking weapon + shield in most of the cases.
So it's agreed what the people know is true?Iwonder if someone could cut through a bronze shield with a steel katana. If the movement is fast enough, it'd be like the wind itself were cutting. That's the fight I wonder about.
The guy in the demonstration was trained in ninjitsu. He probably has as good a sword arm as your typical ninja.
Ninjas were not elite warriors. They were more like mercenaries....

If it were a true ninja you wouldn't even know you were being attack till it was too late and you're dead.

I thought about the story behind Samurai X, where the main character was trained in a style that focused on high-velocity moves: Hi'ten-Mitsurugi style. Anyway, I don't know much of Vikings besides Thor and Valhalla. When I saw the guy on Deadliest Warrior, I just thought that if they had someone who was as good as Kenshin, maybe we would have a better idea of what would've happened. I'd like to see the best of each face each other, that's all.
I dont care what that show says, I still think a ninja would win easily.

Apparently they are the fastest human beings on the planet, they can catch arrows with their bare hands, flies with chopsticks, and can run on water. True ninjas are invisible and cannot be seen!! They can hold their breath for a whole day and jump through the tree tops. AND DON'T FORGET THAT THEY CAN'T BE SEEN!!!!

I think he's just talking about how ninjas pick their fights very carefully. They only fight when they have a complete advantage. Otherwise they're useless in combat without the element of surprise.
But ninjas fight in the shade! :ooh....
Actually Spartans are no match for Ninjas. So flawed. I bet they going to add Bruce Lee in there also.
Actually Spartans are no match for Ninjas. So flawed. I bet they going to add Bruce Lee in there also.
Their weapons were no match for the heavily armoured (but still agile) tank that was a Spartan. The Spartans wore metal greaves, cuirasses, and helmets. Their shields were strong, and spanned nearly from shoulder to knee. The shield (or aspis) was still light enough to be used as a weapon (and as the episode showed, was EASILY capable of killing a man). Spartans used javelins, spears that were nearly 9 feet long, a short sword called a xiphos, and they were armoured from head to toe.In contrast, the most commonly used Ninja weapons just were not very effective against such heavily armoured targets. Especially when those targets arguably had superior weapons. Spartans began training at much younger ages than Ninja's (who really were not the incredible warriors that some movies portray them to be). Spartans trained harder, and had far superior experience as they would have partaken in wars quite regularly. Top it off with a complete lack of armour, and you got yourself a dead Ninja.
Spartan were going to win because they were more for up close battles. The ninja ran away like a pansy alot.
Ninjas arn't warriors they are assassins.. They arn't some ''ultra'' elite they are just another assassin type in their culture.. Like those other cultures they used peasent farming tools and easilly hidden weapons.. It is a misnomer when they have pictures of them using Katanas.. Carrying swords was forbidden for eveyr one aside from Samurai.. But yeah Ninja's and Samurai are over-rated by pop culture and the anime craze imo..
