Okay so today I just realized that the whole point of life is to work all your might for something that you have to give to the government for taxes. And I was thinking to myself why do we need to give the money that we have worked for back to the government?Who makes the money? The government. What do we get for working hard? Money.Where does the money go to pay our taxes? Back to the government. If they can make their own money then why do we have to give up our money for them? Why does the government need our money that we work for, for the taxes?
So you can get welfare and social security and police and property and firefighters and school and all those little useless things nobody really needs.
If the government continues printing its own money then that leads to a devalue of the currency, making the country significantly poorer. Why does the government need our money that we work for, for the taxes?
Because if they made too much money, it would cause inflation.
At 13 I do not think you need to worry about that. wait untill you are old enough to work. And they cannot ''make their own money'' that just devalues teh dollar.
cant get to work without roads ;)
They make their money off taxes, which they use to do various things.
Taxes pay for various things....like defense and social programs.

Wow, just wow. You obviously have no understanding of economics or the repercussions of printing money. Not to say I'm an expert on inflation and deflation, but you can't just go around printing money. Second, why do they need our money? Hmmmm...Let's see what goes away along with the taxes: Politicians salaries, their staff's salaries, the salaries of people who do work for the government such as conduct studies, the military and all the salaries of al the people emplyed by it, the intelligence and defence agencies and all the salaries of those people, the funding for road construction and other government funded construction projects and the salaries of all the people involved in those, civil upkeep, civil protection services like fire fighting and police forces, postal services, and that's just for starters.
Taxes help pay for our luxurious bridges and roads which are totally unnecessary.

Because we all took economics at 14.
It makes the world go around.
To pay for stuff. How do you expect them to run the country without taxes?
I don't know, our militaries, our police forces, water sanitation, roads, traffic lights, traffic signs, electrical plants, medical care (where I live), paramedics to save your life, garbage men, road and sidewalk maintenance, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Because we all took economics at 14.[/QUOTE] It's good to have an understanding of that kind of thing in a very broad way (broad enough to understand that the government can't go printing money indefinitely to pay its expenses) by that age.

Just you are young. Dig a little deeper. They make the money backed by the gold reserves. unfortunatly now we are just printing paper, which devalues the dollar and makes the other countrys look at our money as worthless. Each dollar is supposed to represent actual wealth. Now that wealth is gone.

Because politians are unexplicably the workers most deserving of money. And because no free market is complete without socialism.
